What about those New England Patriots?
Of course they did!!!
It doesn't matter if you work alone or by yourself. You need someone dedicated to hold you accountable to your goals and help you when you need it.
You see, if you are anything like me, you make your goals while in fantasy world. That's great until you try to implement them and reality punches you right in the face.
What you need is middle ground. You need someone that can empathize with your reality, but believe your dreams are attainable even more than you do.
They believe that it is possible because they have done what you want to do. All of the twists and turns on the journey can make you crazy. But to someone who has been there before, they will tell you that it's normal and what actually is actually abnormal.
It's Much Nicer To Travel With A Tour Guide
Have you ever been to a new city, but felt intimidated about starting your adventure because you didn't know where you were going?
It's not the beginning that gets you. It's the part where you have to make a decision and you don't want to make the wrong one. Or you are already lost. That's the wrong time to wish you had a tour guide.
In business, the beginning is awesome. You pick out the name, logo, offerings (products and/or services), location (brick-and-mortar), website, colors, everything. It feels good to make the decisions and take charge. Then you have to go out there and get customers.
From there everything goes downhill (sorry, can't sugarcoat the truth). You either don't know how to get customers to check you out, buy from you or tell others about you.
All the things you spent money on can't help you now.
So what do you do?
You dibble, you dabble. And then nothing seems to be working or the results seem laughable. You have put it in tons of time spinning your wheels. But you are just stuck, even if you have a lot of activity.
If you had a travel guide you wouldn't have gotten lost in the first place. They have a plan set to get you where you want to go. And they could get you back on track if you took a bad turn.
Coaching Is Not About Being Told What To Do
I want my clients to know that I aim to teach them how to think not what to think. I let them know that anything I mention is just a suggestion. They get to pick and choose. I would love for them to choose the parts they need the most. But only if they are ready.
The best thing to do is do ALL of what your coach says, so you can get ALL of the results you desired in the beginning.
You have to think for yourself. When you don't think for yourself, you get upset when things go wrong. First, at the person who gave you the advice. And most importantly, the person who allowed that advice --YOU. When you don't make your own decisions, you let people in your life control you because they get to determine your ending.
When writing the script to your life, make sure you write your story. Preferably, with a happy ending.
Coaching is about keeping your mindset on track. 90-95% of success is your mindset. 10% is skill. As long as you are willing to work your skill will continue to improve. However, when you don't have the right mindset, you talk yourself out of the task before you even get to it.
Coaching is all about developing a strategy for your business each week according to the goals once set that you chose in the beginning.
Championships Are Won Despite Your Limitations With A Coach
By NO means am I a football expert. But since my husband is, the channel is always on. I saw the last minute of the Super Bowl. The most touching thing for me to see is a rookie determining the winner of the game.
He intercepted a pass that cost the other team the game. He studied and knew the play so well. The coach had to tell him to study. No one pushes themselves like that without someone pushing them. Pushing hurts... but pushing wins championships. Even if you are a rookie.
No one can make you do the studying or the training. But if you want it bad enough, your coach comes up with play after play after play to help you win---but you are responsible for your wins. It's nice to get general instructions. But when you can get custom-tailored business advice. JUMP ON IT!
Your limitations are just tricks of your mind. Taking action requires you to have a free mind to focus on the task at hand. If you want to keep taking winning actions until you win then you should find a coach.
I would recommend a coach that has a versatile background who's personality you can relate to. Sometimes they will say something uncomfortable and it would be nice if you already liked them and you thought that it was coming from a place of love.

So if you want to be a leader. A person who makes a lot of money and gets a lot of stuff done then you need to get a coach. You need one for different areas of your life but that's a whole different post.
