What Are Your Weaknesses?

Your weaknesses are something that make you feel guilty about yourself. Or other people may use them as a weapon to dig into you.

When someone is trying to win an argument, they tend to hit below the belt. That's when you find out what they really think about you. If you didn't know you know...

This post is to let you know that it is okay to have weaknesses. If you are hitting your highest goals...If you are living at your highest and best use...If you are giving more than ever before...then it's okay to have weak spots.

Here are some advantages to what you perceive as weaknesses or "undeveloped strengths":

1. You know what you need to work on.
People have no problem telling you what you are bad at. Don't believe me? Ask your family members. They sometimes only see you for what you don't do. A customer, a boss, a coworker, that complains about you is doing just that. What's crazy is they don't see anything wrong with themselves. Only you.

So should you listen to the "finger pointers." Finger pointers are people who have done things 3 times worse than you (3 fingers point back at them). But they just don't see it. Thanks to them, you see it. Evaluate and break down the truth that you can take away with you and change.

2. You can identify the bloodsuckers in your life.
Bloodsuckers are the people in your life where they constantly steal your energy from you. You think you are doing good for yourself. You are the owner of your business. You have some customers.

They are the ones who are always trying to count your customers. They point out every mistake. They accumulate facts on how things SHOULD BE done even though they have never done it.

 Get rid of them.

They will take precious and limited energy that you have for yourself. You essentially give it to them when you decide to spend time with them.

3. Develop a plan to strengthen your weaknesses.
If you try to little-by-little work on your weaknesses, then will be a strength. Your hesitation could be your hindrance. Your weaknesses are the things that have held you back in the past. Notice I said the past. Your plan should give you time to grow and be progressive.

If you usually only get 2 new customers a month. The next goal should be 3 then once a week. Then you can finally get to 10 a month like you planned.

4. Get some help.
If you are constantly overwhelmed, then you may need an assistant. Get someone to take care of the details for you. It's the details that make you the superstar. Don't lose that.

If you can't afford to hire one, find an intern. Whatever you do, know what you are doing well enough to show someone else. Take the most important tasks and give the rest away.

So weaknesses are an important part of life and business. They can be the missing key to unlocking  your potential. You are so close. Why give up now?
